Application- Use as intermediate for dyes, pigments and pharmaceuticals and synthesis of 2-aminothiazoles as sphingosine kinase inhibitors. It is also used in the synthesis of pyridine-3-carboxamide-6-yl-ureas which exhibit antimicrobial activity.
